Hot Tub FAQ's

What electrical service is required for a hot tub?*

Requirements vary, depending on the unit.
110/120 V plug in standard 15 amp outlet
OR110/120 V plug in dedicated 20 amp outlet (funny shaped plug)
OR 220/240 V hard wired 30 or 50 amp breaker, depending on your unit.

The 110/120 V units come with a GFCI cord and should not be plugged into a GFCI
style outlet (this creates a redundant circuit and causes nuisance tripping.)
The hard wired units all require a GFCI service disconnect box which we provide
at no additional fee.
